Swiss CNC Machining
With our Citizen Swiss machines we support high mix low volume and high volume production runs.
As a leading Oregon screw machine shop, we love mid to high-volume production runs. With that being said a large part of our success has been the high mix low volume production and being able to run and ship to blanket releases. We do not have minimum order quantities. We just want you to know that volume drives the part price as the set up costs will not be amortized over very many parts. Be sure to take this into consideration when planning your production.
Advanced Swiss Turning Capabilities
When production parts demand extreme precision, tight tolerances, and multi-axis complexity, our Citizen Swiss-turning centers are the cornerstone of our operation. Known globally for their rigid construction and thermal stability, these machines provide the reliable results necessary for mission-critical components. With over a dozen high-performance CNC units in our shop, we offer the versatility to handle everything from robust 1-1/2” diameter parts down to intricate micro-machined components under 1/16”.
Why We Utilize Citizen Technology
- Eliminating Secondary Operations: Complex milling, cross-drilling, and threading are performed simultaneously, removing the need for multiple machines.
- Length-to-diameter Ratios: Citizen technology has the ability to machine parts with large length-to-diameter ratios. Up to 7XD without a center support, something other standard lathes struggle to achieve.
- Superior Surface Finishes: The unique sliding headstock design supports the workpiece right next to the cutting tool, providing maximum rigidity and eliminating the vibration or “chatter” common in traditional lathes.
- Precision at Scale: Whether supporting high-mix, low-volume prototypes or high-volume production runs, our Swiss machines maintain micron-level tolerances across thousands of cycles.

Efficiency Meets Accuracy
The ultimate advantage of our Swiss department is the drastic reduction in handling time and labor costs. By eliminating the need to move parts between workstations, we maintain a higher level of concentricity and structural integrity. For our clients, this means faster lead times, lower costs per part, and the peace of mind that comes from precision-engineered reliability.
