Plating services
Plating services involve the process of applying a thin layer of metal onto the surface of a metal or plastic part to enhance physical properties and performance. The electrochemical or chemical procedure, often referred to as plating, is used across various industries to provide essential benefits such as corrosion resistance, increased hardness, and improved electrical conductivity. Beyond functional utility, plating is frequently employed for aesthetic purposes, giving objects a decorative finish like gold, silver, or chrome. By selecting specific plating materials such as nickel, zinc, or tin, manufacturers can significantly extend the lifespan of components while ensuring they meet rigorous industrial standards for wear and environmental exposure.

Heat treating services
In machining and metal fabrication, heat treatment services are essential for preparing a material for the cutting process or refining its properties afterward. Homogenizing is a high-temperature “microstructural repair” often used for castings. This is when metal is heated for long periods to eliminate chemical imbalances and ensure alloying elements are evenly distributed. Normalizing involves heating the material above its critical temperature followed by air cooling; this refines the grain size and creates a more uniform, stable structure. Annealing is the most common softening technique, where the metal is heated and then cooled very slowly (usually inside a furnace) to maximize ductility and minimize hardness. This process is frequently used before machining to ensure the material is easy to cut and to reduce wear on expensive tooling.
