Humble roots in Oregon
Founder Bob Grover began his employment in Oregon working on the production floor for a large outdoors accessories manufacturer. As he grew in his career studying manufacturing technology, CNC operations, mechanical engineering and business management, he held the roles of Machine Operator and setup person, a Davenport Lead, Shop Foreman, ISO Coordinator and Manufacturing Manager. During this time he was involved in multiple patented products, and was a key member of the design team.
Proud to support the USA
Bob watched for years as his previous employers moved their business’s to China. Having initially helped with some of these moves, it came to a breaking point. Bob could move his family out of Oregon and continue to support Chinese based operations, or find something else. He made the decision to purchase Oregon Division’s manufacturing equipment and start GrovTec Machining. With a limited funds, and a lot of physical help from family, GrovTec was founded. Like every American with a dream and desire to control their own destiny, Bob grew the business and its capabilities to support multiple industry needs.
GrovTec continues its journey for perfection and mastery
Today, it’s a thriving business with a respected product line of sporting goods accessories and the manufacturing capability. Under the leadership of Bob and his wife Deb, they’ve assembled a management team of industry experts with years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, sales, and marketing. The business is located in Wood Village, Oregon, housed in two facilities measuring a total of 68,000 ft². True to its history and culture as a family run business, GrovTec’s doors are always open and visitors are welcome.
