Stainless steel Parts Machining

Parts+copy.jpeg

Here at Grovtec in our Oregon screw machine shop, we machine more stainless steel components than any other grade of material.

Stainless steel is a popular material choice for precision machining applications due to its unique properties. It is a corrosion-resistant alloy that contains at least 10.5% chromium, which creates a protective layer on the surface of the material. This allows it to withstand harsh environments and extreme temperatures, making it an ideal choice for various industries. Additionally, stainless steel alloys offer superior strength and durability, ensuring that components machined from this material are long-lasting and able to perform in high-stress applications.

Stainless steel machining is becoming more of an industry-standard due to the non-rust and corrosion-resistant material properties. Depending on the environment, stainless steel offers a large variety of grades and surface finishes that make the parts ideal in many applications. When your part requires steel and corrosion resistance, stainless steel is the perfect material.

We are capable of running stainless steel components in a number of our machining departments. We run them on our CNC mills, screw machines, and CNC swiss machines.

The most common grades being 303, 304, 316, 416, and 440c. If you are struggling with a stainless component let us know. We want you to have confidence and trust in the parts you are receiving.
